I have a few questions about File Uploads and limits

Asked by SARAcad on April 19, 2017 at 09:01 AM

I am creating a form to be used for submissions for design awards, and each entrant will be submitting up to 12 images which are to be 3 mb max. We are expecting approximately 300 entrants.

    - In regards to the various pricing levels, what does the 'available space' category include?  Would the submitted files count towards this number, or do they count towards the 'total submission storage' category?

-When I am setting up the file submission settings, I am allowed to set a min and max file size.  What size unit is this in?  MB/GB/etc?

In regards to the various pricing levels, what does the 'available space' category include?

Available Space refers to the files uploaded by your users/respondents.

If you have a form with a File Upload field, and someone submitted that form along with a file that's 10MB in total, your Available Space would be 10MB (and will continue to rise for each file uploaded).

If your form doesn't have a File Upload field, then regardless of how many people submit the form, your Available Space would remain zero (0), since no files are being uploaded.

Would the submitted files count towards this number, or do they count towards the 'total submission storage' category?

Yes, it will count towards that limit. Total Submission Storage is the number of submissions (not file uploads) you get in total. The limit would be 500 in total, account-wide.

When I am setting up the file submission settings, I am allowed to set a min and max file size.  What size unit is this in?  MB/GB/etc?

It's in KB - For more info, kindly refer to the guide I'm linking below.
