It doesn't make any sense if I can use somebody's email to send my message.

May I know what you meant here? Please note that if you will be using a different email as the sender for your email alerts, then that is possible only if you have accessed on the said email.

For example, here are the guides that help you set a custom sender for your email alerts:

Guide #1: https://www.jotform.com/help/238-How-to-Add-a-Custom-Sender-Address-to-an-Email-Alert. You can set a custom sender by adding the email address and confirming it using a verification code. You can only get the verification code if you have access on the said email address.

Guide #2: https://www.jotform.com/help/244-How-to-Setup-SMTP-for-a-Form. This guide allows you to send the email alerts from your email provider's mail server, this involves setting up the SMTP, you still need to have access to the said email address for this.

If I misunderstood your concern, please do provides us more details.

We'll wait for fo your response.
