Subscription suggestion: Pay as you go packages

    Hi guys,

I've an on-line business owner and accept payment via various channels. I was considering using a jotform to accept Braintree credit card payments. While browsing the plans I noticed that you lack a "pay as you go" plan for commercial purposes. The reason one would need such plan is inconsistency in sales (due to many points of sale) in many business models.

My example: In some months I will be having lots of sales via the form and 19 or 39 USD fee is in order then. On the other hand there are months with little or no sales via the form so paying the flat rate fee for the form is not warranted and one needs to cancel and then reactivate the subscription which is a needless hassle.

Please consider a "pay as you go" plan for entrepreneurs and charge a fee based on every transaction or a fixed number of those via "packs". Such plan would be an option offered beside your standard plans. This model can be also implemented with standard form submissions, one would pay for single or packs of submissions based on how many there were in a month.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Thanks for your recommendation, Chris. Let me escalate this idea to our next level for consideration, although I cannot guarantee that this will fruit to anything. But if in case we have developments over this matter, we'll sure to let you know.

But to give you an idea, you may upgrade or downgrade your subscription anytime should you need to change your allotted limits on your account. If you think this will suffice, please let us know.

    Thanks and warm regards.

    Hi Liyam,

Thanks for taking my suggestion into consideration. To paint you a better picture: Jotform basic subscription which allows unlimited payments is 19 USD. I pay this amount for a form that I have to create myself. The form has limited capability when it comes to shopping, no cart, no product categories, no shipping calculators, rather Spartan solution.

For 29 USD I can subscribe to Shopify and enjoy a fully-fledged, themed on-line shop - all that for just 10 USD more. For 9 USD a month one can subscribe to Shopify Lite... Now the 19 USD for basic Jotform subscription seems rather steep.

I'm aware Jotform is not an ecommerce platform and the above mentioned limitations are understandable. Yet a Jotform form can accept payment and has a great potential when it comes to ecommerce. Just a few tweaks and it could rake in many more customers for you. :) Think about it.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Thanks Chris. That seems a good idea for a SaaS product but since we aren't only centered on eCommerce like Shopify, I'm not sure if that's going to be offered but rest assured, your suggestion has been noted and escalated to the team.

    Regards!
