My JOTFORM doesn't always come through to me. Why not?

Asked by thistledubh on July 12, 2012 at 07:14 AM

    URGENT

I have a JOTFORM on the following webpage http://www.allpassdriving.co.uk/ENROL.html. Too often or not, whenever a potential client submits the form it doesn't come through to me, which is costing me a lot of potential business.

I have to inform all potential clients using my form that they need to scroll up/down the webpage after they have submitted the form to check if the form has been submitted - they will know it's been submitted if they see a message telling them so. However, if the message has not been sent to my email address once the SUBMIT button has been pressed, a text box will appear asking them to insert another CAPTCHA code then to press another SUBMIT button.

This has happened to me before and is not only inconvenient, but causing me commercial harm.

Please adviose how I can rectify this problem once and for all.

    Kind Regards

    Alistair Lennox

    Hi Alistair,

The request for a re-submit of the form on another page is due to incorrect captcha value provided on the 1st attempt by the user. This is the current behaviour of the form with included Captcha field.

The suggested workaround to minimize the potential non-completed submission due to incorrect captcha value, is to provide useful annotations or context on the form that can guide users what will be the next expected steps or actions on the form.

Example, provide a 'hint' or hover text on the captcha field that will inform the user the possible outcome if a wrong captcha value is provided..

(see screen below, when cursor is at captcha, a hint message can pop-up alerting the user on possible next action)

Another method is to add additional details using captcha message itself.

    I hope this help.

Please inform us if you have other concern and we will try to help the best we can.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that. How do place a HINT or HOVER TEXT message over my CAPTCHA field?
