Fillable PDF: Long text are cut off, not all of them are displayed in the generated PDF

Asked by PCSIFUNDS on May 01, 2017 at 06:03 PM

Due to the varying disabilities of our employees and dependents, we want to have hard copies available for applicants. I see a way to create a PDF from the template, however, when it comes up as the PDF, the document is very distorted and cannot be used. Please advise of other options or a solution to making the pdf more legible.

    Thank you,

    Lorin Hunter

    Hello Lorin,

I created a PDF version of your form and the fields look just fine. However, I can see that not all text are displayed in the generated PDF so I will escalate this to our developers for further investigation. Am I right that this is the problem you've experienced?

Alternatively, if you want to get a PDF version of your form despite the fields not fillable, here's another way.

First, you need to use Google Chrome browser.

    1. Open your form https://www.jotform.com/71206036133140

    2. Press Ctrl+P (or print your form)

    3. In the print preview, change the Destination to "Save as PDF" then click the save button to download the PDF.

    Hope this helps!

Yes, this is correct. Also, the images are very stretched out. I have attached a snap shot of the PDF that was created from my template. I did see you message about another suggestion and noticed that you said Chrome needs to be used. Is that also the case when converting to a PDF?
    Thanks,

We do recommend to use Firefox or Google Chrome while working on your forms in JotForm. The suggestion my colleague did above was to get the print page functionality from Google Chrome.

Regarding to the images, your screenshot did not reach this thread, could you please try upload it by opening this thread in a web browser and following the instructions on this guide: How-to-add-screenshots-images-to-questions-in-support-forum

We will wait for your response.
