I need a order status / Tracking form?

    Hello I am hoping someone there can help with this. I have a feeling you may already have something that is designed for this purpose or could be tweaked to help with this function.

    Here is what I need to do. I would like to have a tracking form (which we could link on our site) with fields where a customer could fill in some personal information e.g., ID #, Name, phone # etc. Then the associated data would be pulled from a spreadsheet and provide that info to the customer.

    What we do is restoration service of vintage car parts. Customers send them in and they go through a process, from estimate to final ship prep. It takes sometimes several weeks. Customers will call relentlessly throughout the process to check the status of their parts. Our service writers keep a daily status sheet in Excel, but have to field calls all day. 

    Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Hello Dan,

    If I understand your requirement correctly, you need to fetch data from a spreadsheet based on the customer's ID or other identifier. Is that correct?

    Unfortunately is is not possible to populate your form with data from any external source or from previous submission data. 

    I am not sure if this will fit in to your requirement but I would suggest you to take a look at our "Configurable List" of "Spreadsheet" widgets. You can list all restoration service orders in the spreadsheet or configurable list widget of a single form. Every time someone edit the data and submit the form, the updated information will be available with all users.
