How can I import a set of options for a drop down form. (e.g. wine varietals).

Asked by Martin on July 12, 2012 at 04:31 PM

We need to import a pre exisiting list of Options from either an excel or database.

    Is this possible? How?

What is the maximun number of options that can be provided as options to a dropdown?

I am not sure if there is a limit, but I would personally advise against adding a lot (as in thousands) of drop down options. For one, there's only so much information a browser can handle.

There is a possibility that a browser will have a hard time processing our form builder's scripts if there's such a number of information that it has to store in its memory cache.

    To add options:

    1.  Click on your drop down so it is highlighted
    2.  Click the Options button
    3.  Paste the options you want to add, separated by a line break

    4.  Click OK then save your form
