hi, if we create a Returns form for customers to fill out online how is it then sent to our returns area and does the customer do anything other than to fill it in???

Once the customer fills out your form and submits, you will receive their responses on your form. You will get their responses from the Submission Page. Here's the guide on How to View Form Submissions.
You will also receive an email alert of their submissions if you have set up an Email Notification on your form. Here's the guide Setting Up Email Notifications.
If you want to send an email confirmation to your customers that they have successfully submitted your form, you can set up an Autoresponder Email. Please refer to this guide: Setting Up an Autoresponder Email.
