    Salesforce integration: Ability to assign a lead/contact to another account from the integration wizard

    How is it possible to default the owner of the Contacts when they are passed to SFDC from Jotform submissions?

     

    Also, similar questions for the account that they will be associated with? 

     

    I do not see these field as options for integration when I am going to pass a contact. I know that you could choose the Account list but I only need to associate the contact with the account not create a new account.

    Hi Kyle,

    I am not really sure what you meant this. But take note that when integrating JotForm to Salesforce, you will use an account -- your Jotform account and your Salesforce login.

    When a form is completed, an account is created in salesforce but when the data is integrated to salesforce the account owner is automatically tied to the account holder of Jotform.

    I am not sure that I can understand you properly.

    I am having the same issue, When i select "Lead" there should be fields that correspond with my fields on SalesForce. Those fields are not showing. I am also showing a disconnect of integration as of 1:30am(PST) new leads have not come in.

    Any information if this is a Jotform issue or a Saleforce issue?

    I am talking about the accounts within salesforce org that the contact is associated with. It is a field value on the Contact but is not selectable in the picklist.

    But as for ownership you are saying whatever account is logged into jotform will be the owner of the record in SFDC?

    Could you confirm if you are referring to the Contact Owner field in the Salesforce? 

    It looks like the owner defaults to the user authorized the integration on the form. Please allow me some time to check on this and get back to you with relevant information. Let us know if you are referring something different.

    Yes I am referring to the Contact Owner field, as well as the Account Name field.

    Thank you for being patient. I have tested the Salesforce integration again and see that the Contacts are being assigned to the account that is integrated with. I have created a new user in my Salesforce developer account and integrated the JotForm with the new user account created. I see that the contact is then assigned the new user. If the form integrated with the main account, the submission is assigning the contact to the main account itself.

    Do you want to enable the selection of the user (contact owner) by the form filling person or you want to assign the owner to the contact in the integration wizard? Please let us know your requirement so that we may be able to send a feature request to our backend team.

    Also, let us know if you are looking to assign the account name for the contacts from the integration wizard itself.

    Could you provide us with some more information on this requirement of Account name? I assume we can select one account name in the integration wizard. So, each submission received will be assigned to the same account name. Would it be fine this way?
