I have created an order form but it appears that people can select the item they want to order but not enter a quantity. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?? Thanks!

I have created an order form but it appears that people can select the item they want to order but not enter a quantity.

I assumed that you are referring to this form (http://www.jotform.co/form/71277409902863). As per checking the form, I can see that you have already figured out on how to add a quantity option.

If you want the user to enter a quantity instead of choosing from the quantity options, you can set up the Quantity Selector to show the quantity as TextBox and add a default quantity.

You can also make the product required on your form by toggling the Required on product settings.

However, if I misunderstood your question, please give us more details and don't hesitate to get us back.

Hi there! Thanks for your reply but I must not have worded my original question clearly. When people select an item, I want it to force them to select a quantity. It's an order form so dealers don't have to order each bike (which is why I don't want to make the items mandatory) but if they DO want to order a bike (and tick the box), I want it to be mandatory that they specify how many. At this point I have set the default to 1 but I'd prefer if the order form required them to select their desired amount. A speedy reply would be GREATLY appreciated as we want to make this order form live ASAP!! Thanks!

You can set the start range to start from 0 so that the user will not be able to submit the form if they have ticked the box, but they didn't select a quantity.

If they have not choosen a quantity, they will get an error and they will not be able to submit the form. Requiring them to choose a quantity if they tick the checkbox.

Hi Again! I have tried this and it doesn't work. I'm convinced now (after hours of searching/testing/researching/support communication) that there must be some sort of glitch on jotform's end. If I set the quantity range from 0-5 (like I had done originally), people were able to tick the bike they wanted and submit the form without specifying a quantity. When we receive the email from their order form, the bike they ticked doesn't even show up. They could tick ten bikes and if they only select the quantity on one of them, we receive an email saying they only ordered one bike. If I make the field mandatory, it requires that they select the quantity on only one of the bikes they ticked, rather than all of them. Is this making sense? A phone call would be SO much easier and faster so please let me know if there is ANY way to get in contact with someone directly. Thanks!

I'm sorry but we don't offer phone support. The best way to reach us is through the Support Forum.

I cloned your form and edit the start of the range to 0. Then, after ticking the box to select a product and choose 0 quantity, I wasn't able to submit the form. Please see the screencast below:

Here's my cloned Form: https://form.jotform.com/71347561263961. You can test this on your end to see the behavior of the form.

    Thanks.

I also found out that even I have checked the other products with quantity, the form still did not submit.
