Rounded Corners in Forms appear only in preview, never in "live" with the DL zip File

Asked by hagu on July 17, 2012 at 04:19 PM

On First thank you for this fantastic tool, what am I saying,  A WONDERLAND of Tools!!!

    Thanks a lot!

But, when I download my zip File with all CSS and JS Folders, I got no rounded corners like in Preview direct from Jotform.

Not local browising in my temp folder nore "live" when uploaded to my server.

I see that there are different version-calls like"styles/big.css?3.0.3734" but the provided zip file contains lower versions.

But I think that is not the problem... I checked Firefox, IE9 (would show rounded corners), and Android Tablet, all the same, no rounded corners like in priview mode on Jotform, and also the stylish look has gone.

I checked all files paths to point all on the correct -relative-path.

    Any Idea?

    Cheers from germany

This is obviously an issue with the zip file's directory structure. I have submitted a ticket to have this rectified.

In the meantime, moving the file big.css from folder \css to  \css\styles will correct this error.

    Thank you for this workaround!

Style and rounded corners are there! But now the slider-knobs in "range" input fields have disappeared... ???

Actually, the range input is an HTML 5 element, and does not look the same across different types of browsers.

Chrome and Safari displays the "slider-knobs" while IE and Firefox does not.

If you want something similar that is compatible with most browsers, try using the spinner field instead.

Ok, no, I meant the slider WAS perfectly there! on FF, IE9, Android.

So first I had everything perfect beside the "big.css" thing, then made the workaround, and

Now:The Slider-"Scale" is there but the knob has gone.

    What can that be??

    thanks in advance!!!

Hi, will it be OK if you can share to us the URL of your custom form? We can check it better if we have this means.

I also checked your current forms on the account, and I found the form "Geben Sie einen Namen" to have a slider field -- I tested it on different type of browser, and it seems to work just fine.

    Please update us.

    Hi Jonathan,

sorry there isnt any URL to share yet, its still only on local.

But know what? It is working! Don´t know why, I reloaded all and everything seems to be now fine!

Maybe a ghost in the machine! :-) Changing from Slider-Range-control to spinner would be also

nice but maybe slider is more handy on touchscreens (?)

Anyway, thanks a lot for the quick and helpful support!!!!

I still love Jotform so much and told a friend of mine, who is travel agent a german wedding planner in miami to switch his total email and booking to JF, he loves google worksheets and it looks like this could be a perfect combination.

One suggestion: When you update your zip-creator to fix the path to big.css, maybe you could integrate something like a "custom-template sever-path) so you havent to change all paths manually yourself. Just an idea.

    Thanks again!!!

Thank you for updating us. Good to know everything is sorted out already. It is possible some browser cache could have cause the weird behaviour on the form.

Good idea on the suggestion. I can see the usefullness of having custom path when getting the form source code. I am sure our dev team will see this post also and will note the suggestion.
