    How to Apply Style on Hint Text or Placeholder

    hello... i tried the code you guys gave to someone to change the hint example.... it appears to work only in editing.. but in preview and on my website the color doesnt change.  Thanks in advance for you time & help with this matter.

    Hi,

    Please use the following, this should help:

    ::-webkit-input-placeholder {

       color: black !important;

    }

    :-moz-placeholder {  

       color: black !important;  

    }

    /*--for IE10 support--*/

    :-ms-input-placeholder {

        color: black !important;

    }

    I changed the hint example text color, and in i explorer 11 looks greate, but in chrome or firefox text area look alright but text boxes keep on lightgrey jus like the background: http://form.jotformz.com/form/40297374509663

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Please inject the following CSS rules to your form:

    .form-textbox {
    background: #FFFFFF;
    }

    .form-textarea {
    background: #FFFFFF;
    }

    Not sure what color you want the text box to be, but you can change the Hexadecimal value to a color you want.

    I want the background text box and text area in lightgrey, and hint text color on dark grey or black to get contrast. On internet explorer i get it, so on firefox or chrome, hint text and background on text box looks on the same gray tone.
