Hi. In Jotform (ver 4) is it possible to add a "Close" button next to the submit button? The idea would be that the JotForm closes and nothing that the user has entered will be save. If yes, how would I do this?

    Thanks. Gill

Please note that in order to clear the form and discard anything that the user has entered, you may add a "Reset Button" by opening the advanced properties of the "Submit" button and enabling it there as seen in the screenshot:

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance please let us know. Thank you.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response. Apart from discarding the information the user has entered I would also like the form to close. This is a case when the user has decided they want to totally cancel what they are working on and no longer want to enter information into a form.

    You're quite welcome!

Regarding closing the form, please note that if the user resets the form and closes the internet browser tab/window that had this form open, would result in completely canceling what they were working on.

Still, despite the fact that it is not possible to add a close button through the form builder, the task is still technically achievable if you extend the form's functionality by introducing code that implements it, thanks to the ability to access the full source code of our forms.

We have a guide on how to get the full source code of your form here: https://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form

    I hope this helps.
