    Hi

I want to password protect a website.

To do this I would like prospective members to sign up and be provided with a username and password, which they can then change to suit themselves.

    Is this possible with Jotform?.

You can create your Sign Up form without the need to get the account password. Having the username or email account of the prospective members should be enough to build a membership database.

If you will add both username and password on your form, our Phishing detector in place will blocked and suspend the form and the account. This is because if you have both username and password on the form, it is considered a Login form. We do not allow Login form.

You can read more details about it on our Terms of Use.

Since you actually have a website where the user will login, you can just setup the password in your website instead. You can send the temporary password to the member via the email in the form.

Then the user can change the password the 1st time they login to your website.
