Airtable Zapier integration not uploading multiple files

    Hi,

I've connected Jotform to Airtable using Zapier. Everything works great, the only problem is that I'm using the File Upload element with Multiple Files turned on, and only one file is uploaded to Airtable (even if there are multiple files uploaded). Any ideas?

UPDATE (April 5, 2019): Direct integration with Airtable is available now.

    1. Open the Form Builder.

    2. Find the Airtable integration under the Settings.

    6. You can create multiple connections to various Airtable bases and tables with the same integration.

The submissions will be sent to Airtable every time your form is submitted.

Additionally, you can look at this guide to learn how to integrate JotForm with Airtable: https://www.jotform.com/help/561-How-to-integrate-JotForm-with-Airtable

Could you provide us with the screenshot of the field mapping in the Zapier for the upload fields so that we can take a look? This will help us in replicating the issue at our end and provide you with necessary assistance

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

I have tried creating a trail account with Airtable and see that there are different bases available to choose. Please let us know which base you are trying to configure with Zapier to check it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I'm using a base I created in Airtable, not one of the default ones. I added an attachment column to the base, and I map that column to the Image Upload field in Jotform.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I have created a test form and tried to replicate the issue on my side. I have made an integration with Airtable via Zapier.

I could replicate the same issue with you. I have uploaded multiple attachments but only one file is shown on the Airtable. As you can see below:

I have escalated this issue to our developers. They will research the problem and if we have any update, we will inform you as soon as possible.

This issue may relate with Zapier. Maybe, Zapier could not send to data to Airtable.

Also, you can contact to Zapier support via this link: https://zapier.com/app/contact-us

I hope it helps. If you have any other questions or issue, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Hi there,

We send all file URLs to Zapier for every submission; it is up to Zapier to process this information and relay it to AirTable.

It is possible that the format of the URLs that we send to Zapier might not match their preferred format, so we have sent an email to Zapier to have it clarified.

We will let you know if and when Zapier responds and we find a solution to this issue.

In the meantime, the workaround is to add more columns for files on your AirTable collection and map them to multiple single upload fields separately.

    Cheers!

Neil - thanks for your reply! I'm not sure I understand how to implement your workaround - let's say I add another column for photo #2, how can I map the 2nd photo URL specifically (instead of having the first photo appear twice)?

    Hi there,

Sorry for not making it clear.

The workaround I proposed requires the exiting upload field on your form to be converted to a 'single' upload field and adding more 'single' upload fields and mapping them to your AirTable columns.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi again,

We have received a response from Zapier.

The solution to this problem is to add an intermediary action for your Zap called Formatter which will change the new line characters to a comma.

Refer to the screenshot below for guidance.

Then, map this formatted value to the Attachments column on your AirTable.

    Hope this helps.
