We are starting to see multiple form submissions in Chinese as per the attachment - seems like the only way to stop this is to disable the forms which is not good... We host around 50+ client form sets - probably over 150 forms in total. If this continues and becomes viral it will cause major disruption..

Can you please tell us what will be done to stip this?

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hello Nick,

As far as I understand the situation, someone has been spamming your forms. Unfortunately, spammers are indeed quite hard to stop, they can use automated scripts to replicate an actual submission, they can also use tools to have a list of proxies to constantly change their IPs.

First of all, as I have checked your form I have seen that you do not have any captcha to avoid spams. I recommend you to add a captcha to your form.

Secondly, you can use an email verified. With that, it would be an additional step for them. First, they'll need to use a valid email address, then make an actual verification of it. Here are the email validation/verified widgets that you can use:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/e-mail_validator

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/xverify_email

Thirdly, what you can do is you can use is a drawing captcha. Here's the link: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/drawing_captcha. This one is much harder to pass, although the Google reCaptcha should already be enough.

Finally, you can set unique submission on your from which is being spammed. Please check the following guide for this: https://www.jotform.com/help/64-How-to-Set-Unique-Submissions-on-a-Form

Hopefully, these solutions will work to avoid being spamming.

Please try some of those precautions and tell us if the issue still persists.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Candy,

Many thanks for your response. I have instigated your suggestions. Actually the form is a very old one - we now pretty much always put a Captcha in place...

    Cheers,

    Nick
