Encryption doesn't function properly and cannot get form responses
I selected to encrypt my form responses and created a key. However, when I select to download my now completed form responses to Excel, there is no prompt to enter my key and the downloaded responses are encrypted. How do I decrypt the data from responses that were already created? I know you can turn off encryption but that will only affect responses completed in the future.

Unfortunately, you can't download un-encrypted submissions. You can find at the bottom of this guide under the "Important" section: https://www.jotform.com/help/344-Encrypted-Forms-and-How-to-Use-Them
You're correct, you can turn off the Form Encryption in order to download the incoming submissions properly in the future.
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you for your understanding.

This is truly unfortunate! What is the point of receiving encrypted form responses if you can do nothing with them??? Honestly, this is a major drawback of this feature that should be evident up front and not buried within a dense manual. This means that since there is no way to download my responses not encrypted AND no way to copy/paste the responses in the web browser grid/worksheet view, I will have to view each form response in my web browser, copy/paste the responses to each form into Excel and format the responses to fit in a worksheet style which will take hours of my time!

We are sorry for the inconveniences. However, our server does not have access to your decrypted entries, the submissions are being only decrypted locally in your browser. It means that with the current setup we cannot generate the Excel file for you, since we do not have the decrypted data. That is the point of the advanced encryption feature, only the person with the private key file is able to view the decrypted data.
