This is more of a question regarding feature rather than an issue.
I am using a dropdown that has multiple options with associated surveying values on each option to perform a unique form calculation.
When I put that dropdown field variable in the subject line of an email or autoresponder, it pulls the Option value not the Surveying value (which is desired). When I try to display that Option value in the form, however, it displays the Surveying value. I only want to use the Surveying value for a single specific purpose, but want to display the Option value in various other fields.
For example:
TPAs ---- Field Value = {tpa}
Option 1 = PIA, Surveying 1 = 1000
Option 2 = BIE, Surveying 2 = 2000
(etc...)
In an email autoresponder subject line, {tpa} returns PIA, BIE, etc
In a short text form field, {tpa} returns 1000, 2000, etc..
My question is -- can I force the calculation to use the Option rather than the Surveying value, or vice versa? I would like to use each for different purposes...
Hope that makes sense

Unfortunately, it is not possible to get the calculation value from a drop down using its field's name, I mean, the field's name will only return the displayed option; however, you could get the calculation value copying the selected option value to a text box field or even using a Form Calculation widget.
Here is an example using the Form Calculation widget: https://form.jotformpro.com/71347601941959
Feel free to clone it.
I'm also opening a feature request so this may be implemented in the future, although we cannot provide an ETA, we will let you know as soon as we get any update about it.
