How to extract the value of first dropdown value from Dropdown widget?

We currently use a number of forms where we use the Unique ID widget to produce a report ID and automatically name our PDF submissions (integrated in our dropbox). We now have a large number to select data from in several dropboxes and I like the features of the 'Dynamic Dropdown' widget as it meets out input needs but then leave me a problem with our current auto-naming on submission.

Can I extract part of the nested data gathered in the 'Dynamic Dropdown' widget to be used in the Unique ID of a form submission? Ideally without having Field_br after each collected data element.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I understand that you want to use the value of the first dropdown value from the Dynamic dropdown widget to the Unique ID field and the name of the file to save in the DropBox. Is that correct? I don't think it is possible to extract the value from the first dropdown of the widget. Alternatively, you may consider using multiple drop-down fields on the form so that you can get the dropdown value without any issue. You may set up a few conditions on the form to display the second drop-down menus based on the value selected from the first drop-down.

If I find any information that can help to extract the value of the first drop-down from the Dynamic drop-down widget, I'll update you here later.

Please get back to us if you need any further assistance or referring to something different. We will be happy to help.
