How can I limit the choices on the calendar?

Asked by dvcassessment on August 01, 2012 at 12:27 PM

Our students are supposed to book their appointments at least one week (7 days) in advance.  Is there a way that when they click on the calendar that it only shows days seven days out or later?  They can't seem to figure it out on their own:)

Unfortunately, we do not have such feature for limiting days on calendars.

It may be possible by downloading your form's full source code and apply some custom scripts to aim such function but I guess this is a bit arduous. However, I'll try to find a way for this but I can't promise anything. Just want to inform you ahead that this is already outside of JotForm.

I have downloaded your form source code and implemented some calendar functions. Can you please check the calendar of this form if this is what you are trying to achieved? http://lanac.us/odesk/daky/test/limit_calendar/limit_days_jotform.html

Here are the changes I've made:

    Disable previous dates.

    Disable current (todays) date.

Disable one week, 7 days in advance.

    Added tooltips for disabled dates.

I've also matched the calendar theme to your form theme. :)

Please let me know if this is what you are looking for so I can provide to you the form files.

I really appreciate the work you did to update our form.  I would like to be able to make changes to the form but if I do I lose the calendar limitations that you put on it.  Could you please provide me with the form files that you mentioned in your previous email so that I can make some changes to the form without losing all of your hard work?

Also, we have discovered that students are still able to bypass the one week block by typing in the dates they want...they are only blocked if they click on the calendar.

    Here's the form files: http://lanac.us/odesk/daky/test/limit_calendar/limit_calendar.zip

I made the date fields "readonly" so they can't be manually filled except when you use the pop-up calendar.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you!

I am looking for the same feature so the user can only select a date at least 20 days in advance of the current date.

    Hello there!

Such custom script is outside the built in functionality of JotForm, but we have notified idarktech so that he can take a look at your case.  It would be helpful if you provide the URL of the form and when he finds the time he will get back to you.

I know this is two years old, but can idarktech do the same for me as he did for dvcassessment?
