Tablet browsers - anyone found a browser that works with jotform creator / editor?

Asked by cheekyface on August 01, 2012 at 11:05 PM

I hope it's OK to post this here.

Just thought I'd put this out and see if we can build a list of browsers that work with jotform on tablets to create & edit forms.

If you have tried and you have had success with a particular browser for your tablet then maybe we can collect that information here on the forum to save time for future users?  I'v tried a few and it looks like I won't have any luck but if anyone has managed to make it work for them please tell us what you're using.

I've tried a few for ipad 3 and no success.  I can browse the templates and other areas of the account but I can't open the editor nor can I open either of the other buttons on the same ribbon.

(I've uploaded a screen shot of the buttons so you can see what I'm referring to).

Whenever I tap a button it just greys over and that's all that happens.  In some browsers it just changed from displaying the buttons then back to hiding them again on the next tap and that's all ...it won't open the editor.

    I've tried the following browsers:
    Icab mobile
    Opera mini
    & Safari
    ...none of these work.

When I can I'll try others and see if I have any luck and in the mean time maybe the jotform team will be able to address some of the problems with tablets (or at least the ipad).

We have been recomending iCab and Opera Mini to view forms already embedded in pages.

However, I can see  an increasing number of  users that are attempting to work in our builder from Tablets/iPads browsers.

So we definitely need to  address this glitch to our development team . I have open a ticket to take care of this, you should recieve updates on this thread once they get the solution.

    Hi Lindsey,

This issue is with a developer and has been marked as important.

It will be resolved at some point in the future, but unfortunately I am unable to place any specific date as regards when that will be.

I just ask you to be patient, this thread wil be updated when a fix has been implemented.

Are you going to offer the same capability on Android tablets?
