How to auto enable form (Start Time)?

    Hi guys,

I'd like my form to accept submission from a specific time. Is there a way to set this up so that the form is enabled automatically at a specific date and time?

    Thanks

You could create a condition that will hide/show the whole form if the certain date is set.

    For example:

    1) Add one time field (it can be hidden) and set it to current time:

    2) Then you can add one collapse field right above all your fields:

    3) And create a condition for example like this:

So the collapse will hide the whole form if the date is before 30th of June 2017.

Here is my test form https://form.jotformpro.com/71762566883975 so you can check. I purposely left the date field visible so you can set the date and see what happens.

But if the date is hidden then it will work only if the current date is the one you specified in conditions.

Please check and let us know if it could work for you.

    Thank you!

Hi this feature is FLAWED and easy to CHEAT!!! Anyone can just change their computer time to enable your form ahead of the actual time.

I set my time settings of jotform account BTW, and i am testing both Date picker and Day countdown widget can confirm that both use LOCAL computer time and not server time

The only thing that seems cheat proof is is the World Time widget

If you like we can suggest submitting a feature request to the development team.

Just to confirm, what you would like is an option for the form to calculate the time relative to the servers (back end) time right?

Yes, based on a server or world clock time, maybe like in windows where tme is taken from a world time server

I learn this the hard way by making a form that will activate on a certain time for people to get freebies

Lo and behold we had submissions come both BEFORE and AFTER the time set, people were changing their computer times or honest to goodness had their computers dates and times wrong!

I do not want to resort to vulgarities but you can imagine I was very upset that Jotform would make a flawed time and date calculation + conditions

Why is it flawed? Because it is easy to beat and will not reflect time and date accurately based on a standard, it is arbritary and based on whatever the user can want it to be which defeats the whole purpose
