Why did I receive a phishing/scam email stating my password was changed?

    Hello, I received an email from a potential phishing scam that I thought you might want to be aware of. I've pasted the text from the email below.

    Why are we sending this? We take security very seriously and we want to keep you in the loop on important actions in your account.
    We were unable to determine whether you have used this browser or device with your account before. This can happen when you sign in for the first time on a new computer, phone or browser, when you use your browser's incognito or private browsing mode or clear your cookies, or when somebody else is accessing your account.

    Apologies for the inconveniences this may have caused to you. 

    Please, just ignore that email that you received, someone was using JotForm forms for spamming purposes; however, we have already identified and suspended the related accounts, we have also taken the necessary actions in order to stop such activity.

    I would also suggest you to block the email addresses on that email that are not related to JotForm, this way you avoid to keep receiving emails from them.

    Hello Trey,

    The person may have acquired a list of emails to send to from other sources and networking sites, and as it appears, he's using a different service outside JotForm to send emails for spam. This is the reason why he could still do what he's doing. But what matters here is that the person doing this has no active account with us and his intention is to malign our reputation. 

    The one he previously used appears to have had him banned which prevented him to continue with his malicious activities. But as it shows, he's back again. In any case, just ignore the email.
