When I tested revision history on my cloned form for the first time, I was able to replicate issue that you reported. I was not able to close Revision Preview Mode.
However, after that I made multiple test to replicate the issue again, so that I can provide some additional info to our developers, but I am not able to do it anymore.
I am able to revert the form to previous versions and I am able to close Revision Preview Mode.
Can you try again to see if the issue still persist on your end as well? I have also cleared your form cache.
I will do some additional test and if I replicate the issue again, I will let you know.
