Entries not submitting to Googlesheet

I have the same issue - submissions from my form https://form.jotform.me/71072275128453  over the last 10 hours  or so aren't being added to the linked googlesheet.

It's this going to be a recurring problem? Is good that you can update it manually but I don't think that's how it's meant to work.

    Thanks

    Simon

Thanks for opening a new thread.  I don't see that anything has changed in the google sheet.

I have pushed the missing submissions to the integrated Google spreadsheet on your form. Please check and see if the new submissions are being inserted normally. If the issue still persists, please try removing the Google spreadsheet integration on the form and then reintegrate it.

Please get back to us if the issue still persists. We will be happy to assist you further.

ok, the spread sheet has updated.  Thanks!

Did you see any obvious reason why it stopped sending the data through?

Ok it's not feeding new data through, so I'm going to de- and re-integrate. I'll need you to push the missing data through.

    Thanks

    Hello Simon,

Please re-integrate your form with google spreadsheet again and get back to us if the issue persists. We will push the missing submissions to intgrated google spreadsheet again.

    Thank you!

No, it doesn't seem to be updating.  Is there any reason for that?

Thanks for the update, I have cloned your form and tested the integration on my end and all seems to be ok. For testing purposes, can you please integrate another form with the same account and see how you get on? If the issue still persists, please let us know so we can look into it further.

on the cloned survey it's updating nicely.  Ok, let's hope it works properly again on the real one.  Will let you know how things go as more respondents fill in the survey.

Ok. Generally, the issue should be resolved by reintegrating the Google Spreadsheet to the form. Please check and let us know if the issue still persists. We will be happy to take a look again.

re-integrating google spreadsheets into my form requires me to rebuild everything all over again since you guys do not let us choose the spreadsheet we are integrating into and giving it the same name still creates a brand new sheet.

I have re-integrated, spend the 2 hours of rebuilding my sheet only for your data to stop pushing into my sheet again. Costing me 2 days worth of data at this point. I refuse to re-integrate again, I will find a new provider first.

We are sorry for the inconvenience being caused. Unfortunately, it is not possible to choose the spreadsheet again to integrate with the forms. However, the existing submission data of the form will be sent to the newly integrated spreadsheet. But if the new spreadsheet is not updating the new submissions, there seems to be an issue.

Could you confirm that there are no changes being made to the spreadsheet after integrating to the form? If any changes are made to the integrated spreadsheet, it will break the integration and the new submissions cannot be updated. Also, if you can share the currently integrated spreadsheet with us, we can take a look and see what best we can do in this regard. You may share the spreadsheet to kiran@jotform.com.

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

I am not changing the sheet after integrated at all, however, I am making changes to other tabs within the sheet that pull from the data which we've always done. The last few days myself and after reading your support forums, ALOT of other people are experiencing this issue where data simply isn't pushing forward.

    Hello JAllan000,

With which form you are having this issue with? Form #71072275128453 is not in your account and the issue was reported by another user.

Please let us know the form ID with which you are having this issue with and we will take a look. As requested by my colleague earlier, were you able to share your integrated google spreadsheet to kiran@jotform.com

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

Other than changing column width so I can actually see the data (which shouldn't have any bearing on data import) I haven't made any changes in the sheet.

As you've recommended on a previous forum post, I've made an additional sheet for data analysis. (Though, on my original spreadsheet I had made some changes, such as deleting the test data lines and having a count function, and still the application managed to push new data... That is, until it stopped pushing)

Like JAllan says, this problem seems to be fairly widespread. Is it possible that Google sheets had changed something, and you need to edit the integration feature?

Or, given that you're able to push data manually, perhaps the issue is that the integration feature doesn't recognise when new data has been added?

In any case, I've shared the integrated sheet with Kiran add you requested. Hoping for a working solution soon.

    Thanks

    Simon

    @Simon,

I have checked the spreadsheet and see that the last 4 submissions were not updated in the Spreadsheet. I have also tried cloning the form to my account and integrated Google spreadsheet which seems to be working fine.

Also, I see that there is a new sheet added to the spreadsheet. Though it shouldn't be causing the issue, in order to isolate the issue, could you try reintegrating the spreadsheet to the form one last time and request you not to make any changes to the integrated spreadsheet. Please check if the new submissions are being sent normally. If the issue still persists, please do let us know so that we can forward the issue to our backend to investigate it further.

so I've reintegrated (and shared with Kiran).

When the new file was created, all prior data was there. I haven't changed anything in the new sheet - not even column width.

I then filled the survey with phony test data (which I really didn't want to do since I'll then have to hunt and remove it after) and it hasn't appeared in the spreadsheet.  I've since filled the form another two times with phony data - once with shorter time between opening the page and filling the form (since the first time I filled the form it was on the page that had been open on my computer since last night, so perhaps that "confused" the application due to it being logged out of order) and the second time after having closed the spreadsheet in case the auto-refresh was somehow preventing the data from being inserted - though that wasn't a problem with the original integration I did.

the three test lines don't appear in the spreadsheet. I hope you are able to work out why...

    Hi snothman,

We made a further investigation on our end regarding the spreadsheet integration and made a quick fix for it. I also push data to your spreadsheet and it was moved successfully. Your submissions will automatically pass to the spreadsheet after that. Please check and let us know if there is any submission not passed. If so, please also provide us the submission ID for those which are not being in the spreadsheet.

    Thank you Rose!

I've sent another set of test data and it seems to be working again. Hopefully will continue to do so.

If you could please delete the test data submissions that would be great, and will save me from having to search for them later.  submission numbers:

I have checked the re-integrated Google spreadsheet now and see that the provided submissions are displaying normally. I have sent a test submission to the form and see that it is updated in the Google spreadsheet without any issue.

Could you check once again and let us know if you need any further assistance?

You guys fixed my issue over night, however it immediately broke after only 4-5 more submissions. I've officially deemed that I refuse to trust your unreliable services. I created my own pushes using Zapier, a proven reliable service time and time again. For those having similar issues, if your more worried about reliability vs having instant data, this might be the best choice as Jotform has proven they are unreliable and cannot fix this issue.

You may delete the submissions from the submissions view.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/377-How-to-Delete-Form-Submission-Data

removing the submissions should result in them being removed from the spreadsheet, right?

No. At this moment, only updates to the form submissions will be pushed to the spreadsheet. However, you can safely delete the entire row from the spreadsheet for the unnecessary submissions.
