Background image from the previous theme sticks even if default theme is applied

I chose one of the initial themes when I was starting to create my survey but decided I did not like the metallic look. I updated it to a more basic theme but every time I enter into the survey it reverts back to the original theme I had selected. I have to keep going back and changing the theme everytime I go to edit the survey.

Would appreciate any advice on what to do here.

Try this:

Remove the default theme and add it again.

Then go back to COLORS tab and remove the background images.

I have also escalated this problem to our developers. The background images from the previous theme should be removed when the default theme is applied.
