What happens to Session ID after clicking submit?

Asked by PreservationGreenLab on August 09, 2012 at 01:18 PM

    Hi there,

I have set up a session id by using the following code in my autorespond email:

This allows users to save their progress, which is useful as it's a pretty long form.

I'm noticing that after the form is submitted, the link above stops working, and takes me to a blank form.  I'm mostly concerned that people who clikc submit, and want to change their answers afterwards.

Is that normal behaviour for this function?

Many thanks! I really appreciate the excellent support here! :)

Yes, that is how the session variable functions. It will only save unsubmitted data - data which the user will come back to and finish.

To provide an editing mechanism for submitted entries, simply add an edit link tag in your form's autoresponder instead. If you prefer to make the link clickable, check this guide out.
