CSV and PDF report: add the Today's date in the file name

Is it possible to select specific submissions?

When downloading ONE specific submission (Excel, CSV and PDF), it would be great if ALL of these files included the date.  Currently, only the Excel download appends the date.

Try enabling the Submission Date from the Submissions Page just in case you don't have it enabled yet.

You can also enable it on the table below the Submission Page:

    Yep.  I have this selected.

I was referring to having the actual downloaded filename include the DATE in the filename - as is the case with JotForm's current coding for the downloaded Excel filename.

    Thanks.

The post title is a bit confusing. You've mentioned the Submission Date but it seems like you need the "today's" date in the File Name of the Excel, CSV, or PDF reports. But I'm sure you mean the "today's" date. Unfortunately, this is not available in the CSV and PDF.

Let me request this option to our backend team. We cannot give you an estimate as to when this will be implemented, but as soon as we have an update, we will let you know here. For the meantime, you may consider adding the date as soon as you have the file on your computer.

I did not post this title.  This came from a JotForm Support person that grabbed it from within another post that I had.

    The essence is...

If you use the DOWNLOAD AS "EXCEL" functionality in the SUBMISSIONS section (bottom window pane), you will see that JotForm's default is to include the date that the file was downloaded in the filename.  It would nice if the other formats were to include this date also.

The most ideal situation would be...

(... especially when downloading only ONE submission ...) It would be great if the filename included the Submission Date/Time.

    But, you are correct...

After downloading, I immediately rename these files as needed.

FYI:  I am a web developer creating these forms for clients.  Having these automatic/default features would greatly assist novices.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the confirmation and clarification. I see my colleague has already forwarded this to our developers. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this will be implemented, it depends on our developers current work load and the feasibility. Rest assure that we will update you on this thread as soon as there are any news.

    Hi,

CSV reports now include today's date stamps in file names.

    Hope this helps.
