Failure in being able to name/ rename a report

    Hi,

If one goes to reports, the report wizard, and creates a report via the Visual Report Builder unless I'm mistaken it is impossible to name or rename the report. I cannot edit the name of the report in the normal 'orange bar at the top' method. I cannot get the cursor/edit function active so as to rename the report. I have tred in both edit mode for the report (that brings up widget toolbar) and display mode. I have tried to do this in Chrome, IE8, Firefox (latest) - no can do!

This leads me to conclude that I am either a dumb fool or that no one wants/ or tries to rename reports. But as one is limited to a page per report, and advice in the forum for creating a multi-page report (which lets face it - is everyone) is to create a report for each page and call them Page2 ... Page3 ... and so on ..

Well this catastrophically fails me as all I get are a range of reports all called 'report'

Can anyone shed any light on this? Hopefully i'll end up being dumb and the hideous spectre of having 12 reports all called 'report'will become a distant memory.

    Thanks, regards Mark

Added this to our bug list. The orange bar should allow you to edit the report title.

Firefox works. Try changing it there.

Have just tried Firefox Ver 3.6.13

It does not work. I cannot get an active cursor in the orange bar.

Can you advise me exactly what you did to get it to work as per your claim that 'Firefox works'.

    Many thanks

Do this and it will magically work?

    1. Open the report but don't click on anything,

    2. Click on Edit button,

    3. Click on the title. You should be able to change it this time,

    4. Click on Save button.

    Great news - that worked.

I was obviously going in and bulldozing straight to the orange bar before clicking Edit. Thanks
