Field values getting concatenated instead of totalled

Asked by gradelink on July 13, 2017 at 02:32 PM

One section of our survey correctly totals the field values; the second section is build the same way with the same conditions, but instead of totalling (e.g. 25+25=50), it concatenates them ("2525"). What are we doing wrong?

As mentioned in Step 3.1 of this guide — Conditional-Logic-Inserts-Text-Calculation-Into-A-Field, to represent the numeric value of the fields being added, please make sure that the fields are set to "0-9" in the calculation area of conditions. To fix the issue you are having in your form, please refer to the screenshot below.

As for getting the average, please see the #1 of Other Math Functions of this guide — Form-Calculation-Math-Function-Reference

To get the average of multiple field values, separate each field inside avg (), with a comma.

I hope this helps. If you have other questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us again anytime.
