iPhone In-App Browser: Generating duplicated submissions

I am receiving duplicate submission when submitting my form on an Iphone?

I'm no longer embedding the form and just linking straight it on jotform. I also am not requiring a unique email address anymore. The problem I have now is that anyone who enters from an iphone is getting two submissions. Thoughts?

I tested on my end in an emulated Iphone 5 but I cannot reproduce the multiple submission issue.  Generally though, when users are seeing multiple submissions on IOS devices it is due to pressing back on the browser to return to the form.  IOS devices cache form data and allow for resubmitting the data when returning to the submission page.

Try sending a submission and closing the browser immediately after to see if multiple submission still trigger.  If they do, let us know and we will be happy to have another look.

Thanks. I think I found the problem. People are getting to the link by a QR code scan. Apparently the most popular version on the iphone called QR Scanner is causing the problem. Everyone who uses that is submitting twice. When they submit through Safari it works fine. Not sure how to get around that problem.

If you wouldn't mind share the QR code we can check on our end to see if we can reproduce the duplication issue.  Unfortunately, if the issue is caused by the app itself, there might night be anything we can do about it but if it is something we can update on our end, we can see what we can do.

Here ya go. That'd be great if there's a work-around but I'm thinking it's probably just the app. I appreciate you taking a look though! Thanks.

Thank you for your update. The in-app browser is different from normal mobile Safari.

Could you please also provide us with the full name of the QR scanner app in question?

I answered your inquiry in another thread here: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1199558

But I wasn't aware that the issue persists in the In-app browser, so you can disregard it. I tested again and I was able to replicate it. I received two submissions.

Please allow me some time to check this issue a bit more and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

As I consulted with the developer who was assigned to this ticket, it was decided that the issue is not related JotForm and nothing can be done to fix the problem on our side. Since, the issue is happening at In- App browser and should be fixed on their side.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and feel free to contact us if you have more questions.
