Submissions: Add an option to track changes when submissions are edited

    Hi,

For forms that get edited multiple times like in the case of multiple review stages etc. It would be good to be able to view a change log of sorts on the form to see what changes were made and the date they were made.

Is this something already achievable on JotForm using some clever special conditions? Basically on each edit it would be nice to see what fields were changed like a before/after type scenario and the date they were changed.

This would be an extremely positive feature if it can be done.

    Thank You

Yes there is a way - Use the Form Revision History tool to get a list of all changes done on your form. This should also allow you to revert to a previous saved version when needed.

    Complete guide: How-to-View-Form-Revision-History

However, if you're referring to the EDIT SUBMISSION option, then as of now, there's no way to log the changes made on each submission edit. If this is what you're referring to, please confirm and we'll raise this as a Feature Request.

    Hi,

Yes I am talking about an edit submission history. As in a widget or something on the form which shows each date/time the form was edited and what was changed.

ie: Approver 1 changed the status to approved on 25/07/2017 10:17am
Approver 2 changed the status to 'Needs Investigation' on 25/07/2017 11:00am

    Thank You

Thanks for clearing that up - I've elevated your thread as a feature request. Please keep in mind that there's no assurance whether this will be implemented. It will highly depend on the viability of the feature, the amount of similar requests we get, along with the workload of our Developers.

We can't give you any timeframe but we'll keep you apprised on this same thread when there's an update.
