Feature request: Ability to validate spaces in a text box or other fields

    Hi,

Is it possible to validate entries in text box or other fields based on spaces in the data. I want to avoid spaces in a particular entry. Example: Order No. in an order form.

Unfortunately, we have no option to avoid spaces in entries. You are only able to make it happen by enabling to validation of numeric characters. We have no option for avoiding spaces in AlphaNumeric characters.

Please add a short text entry to your form. Then click on the "Properties" button. After all, please enable the validation of numeric characters which locates under the "Options" tab.

On the other hand, I am escalating this thread to our developers as a feature request. However, we cannot promise whether it implements. When we have any update on it, you'll be informed via this thread.

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. As you said I am already using numeric option for number only data. But can't do the "No Spaces" and "No Special Characters" validation.

Thanks for putting my request in feature request. It will be very useful for users.

I see that the feature request has already been forwarded to our backend team for evaluation. If you have the field entry at fixed length, you may consider using input mask from the field properties by using * that allows only numbers and characters.

Please take a look at the guide below that might help you.

    Hope this information helps!

    Kiran,

    Thank you.

"Input Mask" has solved my problem for now. I was using this for order number which is 4 digits long. But this solution is not suitable for variable length input.

The feature request has already assigned to one of our developers. You will be informed if the request can be implemented.
