Attaching zip to autoresponder email

I am having trouble attaching a zip file to my autoresponder email.  I was told that a zip is supported but everytime I attached a zip file it gave me an error message that said, "unsupported file type". 

Please contact your tech department to fix the platform so that I can attach a zip because I need to send multiple files and reduce the size.  The total file size I am trying to attach and send is less than 2 mb.  I don't want to send multiple autoresponder emails.
