Hello. So I tried to run a demo jot form of mine called rental application. I received an encrypted response that asks me to upload a private key. Can you please explain what I need to do to see the submission. Thanks.

You need to upload the Encryption Key file you downloaded when you enable the encryption feature in your form. You might find it in the downloads folder:

If you lost the key file, the data is lost forever, because there is no way to decrypt it. We would recommend you to turn off the encryption feature to avoid losing access to new submissions: https://www.jotform.com/help/344-Encrypted-Forms-and-How-to-Use-Them

i honestly never got an encryption key. Was it supposed to be sent when I first made the form?

Can I make a new form and then a new key will be sent?

If you enable form encryption on your form you will be ask again if you want to use an existing key or create a new one. I recommend you choose creating a new one.

Let us know if you require further assistance.

Please note that the new key will decrypt new submissions. In other words, it won't decrypt old data.
