Encryption key

Hi - I messaged earlier. I am trying to view the encrypted data that I am collecting from a live form.  I cannot view it anymore as it is oming in scrambled, it was fine last week.

I have the jotform.key document.  Is there any way that I can try to upload the key again so that I can view the submissions?

    Thanks,

I assume that this is a followup from this thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/1211837

I inspected the settings of your form and your form is currently not encrypted.

Because of that encryption pop-up window is not shown on the submission page and you are now able to upload your key and decrypt the data.

You need to encrypt your form. Set Encrypt Form Data option to YES and then choose I will use my existing key option.

After that, you will be able to decrypt your data.

More about encrypted forms you can find inside of this guide:

Encrypted Forms and How to Use Them

Hope this helps to solve the issue.

Got it - thanks, I had tried this but it didn't work first time.  I cleared my local browser storage and it is now working.

    Thank you!

Hi - I am now trying to download my data as the competition has closed.  I can view the details of each submision through JotForm however, when I try to download it, the data is still encrypted.  Please can you advise?

    Thanks

Are you referring to exporting the submission data to Excel? If so, unfortunately, it is not possible to export the submission after decryption since the encryption key is not stored anywhere on our servers and is available privately with you. As a workaround, you may consider copying the content of the submission data to Excel manually.
