Form translated to a different language but not the answers?

    Good morning,

Okay ... this is a bit of a long one, please bear with me.
We are creating assesment tests for several markets and have created surveys with 20 questions.
These will need to be translated hence "language-specific" form will need to be made.

Now, we use the excel export to calculate the correct answers with IF functions. Is there a way to have a form in Arabic yet the submission - which is exportable to excel - would in English ? This will allow us to create 1 correction file regardless of language and makes the comparison between markets a lot easier.

I was thinking about using the Calculation Values but I cannot seem to make it work.
Your bright ideas would be appreciated !

    Thanks!

If you want your form to be multi-lingual, then you can follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/298-How-to-Make-Your-Forms-Multilingual

Note that the answers will NOT be translated, they will be as how they are inputted by your users and how they are initially setup on the form's main language.

To manager your submissions, you can also use the Google Spreadsheet integration. That should allow you to have your submissions automatically populated on an online spreadsheet.

If you are building a quiz form, perhaps this app would help you: https://apps.jotform.com/app/quiz_form

Let us know if those will work.

    Dear Charlie,

    Thanks !
Not clear on the reply :

"Note that the answers will NOT be translated, they will be as how they are inputted by your users and how they are initially setup on the form's main language."

Does this mean that the users will see the text in their language but the export into CSV/XLS will be the orginal language ? In my case, the main language is English and the added language would be Thai. Hence although they see the answers to select in Thai, the system will register them in English ? Is this a correct understanding ?

    Br,

    Kris

Your users will see the text on the form in the language they have selected.

The answers will be shown in the exported file in the same language your users used. However, the headings of the report and the field labels on the submission page will be in the form's main language.

For example, I fill my demo form in Chinese, and the data that I entered is shown in Chinese on the submission page, but the field labels are in English (main language).
