What is the difference between using a matrix and this spreadsheet? I have been asked to create an interactive weekly calendar. The supervisor wants the ability to take notes during the day. So the traditional calendar but with the ability to fill in activities and takes notes during meetings and just anything. I have been successful however

#1 I am unable to print the pdf versio
    n
#2 I don't like the V4 version that keeps displaying but I cant get back to the v3 version to preview only for editing purposes.
#3 the entire matrix doesn't show up expanded on the screen everything is somewhat compact. This needs to be something that is able to remain open as the day goes on.

I'm not really sure if I understood your concern correctly. The main question you have is "What is the difference between using a matrix and this spreadsheet?". But reading your whole post, it seems like it you have different concerns.

Here are my answers to your questions:

"What is the difference between using a matrix and this spreadsheet?"

The matrix field is a plain field that allows you to set a fixed number of rows and columns. The cells can have one input type.

The Spreadsheet to Form widget is a widget that allows you to upload a spreadsheet on it and it can auto populate the form fields based on the content of your spreadsheet.

Example: You have an inventory or list of products in your spreadsheet, now you want all the details of the product to just auto populate on the form fields if user inputs a specific code found on the spreadsheet. It's like a lookup table.

For the other concerns you have, please refer to the link below, I have opened separate threads for them so that we can discuss better:
