I need to have 2 payment options, both via Paypal (open to others)?

I need to have 2 payment options, both via Paypal (open to others).

Payment 1: $50 down payment due immediately and $100 monthly for 3 months due on the 1st of the month.

Payment 2: $300 due immediately

They need to be able to choose the option that's right for them. 

Unfortunately, that is not possible when you're using Subscription payment type. You can not combine subscription based and regular payments. You can either have subscriptions or products selling payment.

But, I'm not sure if this workaround could work for you:

To add another product with price zero for subscription, but with first payment set to 300$:
