If the autoresponder schedule is changed, will it override the previous submissions?

    Hi Guys,

I had initially set a second auto responder with a schedule time of 30 days after submission... As this second auto responder is in relation to an event on a particular date I have needed to change this from 30 days to 7 days..

I know that new submissions received since making this change will receive the auto responder in 7 days however how will this affect those that have submitted before my change, will they still get the auto responder in 30 days (original) from their submission or will it change to 7 days as per my updated schedule?

I am hoping that the updated schedule of 7 days overrides the old schedule for those that submitted before the update.

Will look forward to your response.

    Cheers

I think the emails will be sent as per the earlier scheduled date i.e., after 30 days since they are already scheduled by storing in our records. However, let me test it to get it confirmed. Since the least number of days can be set as one day, I'll get back to you tomorrow/day after with my test results.

    Thank you!

Thank you for being patient. I have set the autoresponder to be sent after 7 days on my test form and then sent a few submissions. Then, I have changed the autoresponder setting to send it after 1 day. As per my assumption yesterday, the autoresponder should be sent after 7 days. But I was wrong. I have received the autoresponder about an hour ago as per the changed setting. So, in your case, the autoresponders will be sent after 7 days instead of 30 days.

Hope this information helps! If you notice any issue with the emails, please do let us know. We will be happy to take a look again.

    Thanks!

Thanks for testing this out. So I will assume that as some of our submissions were received a couple of weeks ago that once I changed the schedule to 7 days that they would have received it soon after. I will advise if I find out otherwise.

Is there anywhere that we can access a list of our pending autoreponders or even delivered ones, I am guessing not as you would have probably mentioned this.. is this something that could be suggested as an enhancement?

    Hello naturalbodz,

Unfortunately it is not possible to see the list of all scheduled auto-responders. We can create a feature request and forward it to our backend team. I have moved your enhancement request to a separate thread so that we can address it separately. You will be answered in the following thread:  https://www.jotform.com/answers/1217271

    Thank you!
