Submission Counter Duplication

    Good afternoon,

When running the excel report, I noticed that several of the submissions have duplicate numbers, but it does seem to skip the number it is skipping, so I believe I'm getting an accurate count? i.e. 502, 502, 504.  I checked the submissions and those appear to match the excel report.  Do you know what's causing this?  Is there a way to correct this in order to ensure an accurate count?

Are you referring to the form http://www.jotform.us/form/60255504801144? I checked the submissions and don't find duplicate IDs in Submissions page and downloaded Excel.

If you are referring to a different form, please give us the URL so we can check.

Yes, that's what I'm referring to.  I can send you the excel report with the highlighted errors if you'd like.

Since the submissions where there counter is incorrect do appear to be duplicate submissions, I believe those users may have been submitting multiple forms by pressing "back" in the browser to return to another page or to the form.  On some devices, form data is cached and will allow for returning to the submit function page with the data entered.  This causes duplicate submissions.

To prevent this, add a captcha to the form:
