When I create an auto responder email, in text mode, I use the "Return" key to create paragraphs. But, when the auto responder sends the email, all of the text is without paragraph formatting. What am I doing wrong?

Tested this and it does not happen on my browser. Can you try a different browser to change this? Such as Firefox or Google Chrome.

Just making sure that I'm being clear. My browser shows paragraph formatting when I am writing my auto responder email, but when I read the sent email in my email reader, apple mail, there is no text formatting.

It shows an end of line and a carriage return, but I'm looking for a double space between paragraphs. I've tried two carriage returns, but it does not show as a blank line.

Can you try clicking on the "Convert to Text Mode" button? That should do what you would like. Or the other way.

The only button to click is the use HTML button. I want to send a text message. Is there a way to get the double spacing and send text? I did cycle through the text/html button and nothing changed.

I guess not. I added this to our bug list.

I am having this same problem with a new wrinkle. I used a cloned form that had tables in the auto responder. This worked fine, but I added a lot of text to the end and it got truncated. SO, I took out the tables and it let me add all the text.
But the formatting was off. I added carriage returns and it tested good. The next day it was messed up again. I think I added extra returns, because JotForm would not let me put in BR tags. It tested fine and worked fine when people submitted the form. But now it is messed up again! All the text runs together. This is over a period of a week.
Is there a character limit? It is not truncating, but maybe that is why it is smushed.
I am using this form on a Lost Dog FaceBook page. Are you aware there are a half dozen pages using JotForm to reunite families! It is cool . .. when it works. : (

May we ask which particular form you are having this issue with? Also, would it be okay for you to open a separate thread for your issue so we can deal with your problem in a more efficient manner?
By the way, try using the Cleanup Messy Code function for your autoresponder, then send us a feedback via the new thread your are about to open. Thanks!
