Custom URLs not working when viewed in China

    Hi there,

    Im currently experimenting some issues using the forms in China. It used to be ok, but now it requires VPN access! Can you please let us know if there is something wrong? 

    Tried all browser possible.

    Hi there,
    Im sorry, but it is not working for any of us here unless we are on the VPN…
    Any ideas what can be the reason? It worked these days… not anymore…

    For some reason, we could not test your form using those custom URLs on the Great Firewall of China tester page. For clarification, are your forms being blocked even through its original URL? Here are your form's URLs

    Also, how about visiting https://www.jotform.us, is it failing through this URL as well?

    May I also suggest to try contacting your internet service provider and inquire with them for possibility of a routing problem on their end.

    Weird!
    Links you gave me seems to work without VPN.
    Problem are with renamed links… any idea?
    It is not an issue, but seems I am gonna build several forms and we will publish, it would be helpful to be able to have some renamed links to avoid confusions.

    I can see that you can open the form if it is not using the custom URL. Please try the following links:

    Also, please try contacting your ISP and have them whitelist our IP address and domain servers. Here's a guide: Whitelisting-JotMails-IP-Addresses.

    Hi there,
    I have another issue…
    I want the confirmations to the users to be sent with the tournament email account… I followed the verifying process and input the code… it seems to be alright…
    However, I still getting the confirmations from noreply@jorform.com instead or our own account.
    Any thing we could do?

    If they didn't load, grab a screenshot of your browser console's network tab so we can see which parts of the form are being blocked from your end. Ensure the screenshot will include the domains/elements that didn't load on the Network tab.

    I can find my threat anymore.
    But listen, still can open the links (you guys helped us yesterday to change the user name to WETZ).
    None of the links works unless we use a VPN. I’m not at the company network now…

    Yes ok. I did already log out before writing you and it is not working. It its not a problem of my network, cause it doesn’t work for ANY network. Nor even in 4G.
    But you are not replying my question… WE CANNOT USE THE FORMS IN CHINA WITHOUT VPN? Something must have change from your end, as we used to be able to do it (that was the main reason we chose jot form among other options). No we cannot, and it is essential for us.
    Can you please let me know what can we do?

    I can see that you changed your username from (VictorRF_) to (WETZ). Please take note that you need to re-create the custom URLs after changing the username. Here's a guide: How-to-Create-a-Custom-URL-of-a-Form.

    Also, I noticed that your reply on this forum still shows your old username.

    Can you please try to log out from JotForm and clear your browser cache?

    I do not why it shows it, cause I already logged out a couple of times and logged in with the new user...
    I even recreate the URLs and it worked with VPN but both without it. I guess we are focusing on two different issues... the links work, but NOT in china...
    Anyway we can find a way Asier and more direct way to communicate to solve this issue? It can take forever with emails

    Ive read the threads regarding Forms not working on China. Seems to work when the domain is www.jotform.com…. It is important to us that we use the forms with the customise name… Any thing we could do about it?

    Hi again Victor - Let me recap what has transpired so far. The main issue right now is this:

    You can't view your forms with a Custom URL in China if you're not using a VPN. The links work, but NOT in China.

    From the statement above, we can clearly tell that:

    - It's an isolated case from your end since all of us on this thread can load your form without issues.

    - What we can do to help is figure out what's causing the problem, and offer suggestions on how you could possibly fix it.

    We have kindly asked you several times to share a screenshot of your browser console's network tab. But, up until now, you haven't shared anything with us. If you did, and you attached it via email, it won't work. Our Support Forum doesn't process email attachments (see step #1 below later).

    We also asked you to try several links and report back to us which worked and which didn't, but you still haven't replied to that question yet.

    Moving on, we'd like to get back on track, so please reply to us item per item on the following:

    1. Share a screenshot of your browser console's network tab. In case you're having troubles, I have temporarily marked your thread as public so you can post to it just in case you're not logged in to your account or if you're logged in to something else.

    The problem is with the .us links - seem to be blocked in China - which are the only option given when you rename the link!
