    Glitch in my Conditional Form

Asked by skyscopecreative on August 23, 2012 at 08:46 PM

    Hello Jotformers,

    Firstly - love the product.

    My question:

When my conditional form launches, I get a glitch where I see the whole form briefly, and then it disapears to the correct conditional beginning.

    Please advise?

    Hi,

The anomally actually depends on some condition, such as internet speed or network performance and the elements that were useD in the form's SHOW/HIDE condition.

If the internet/network performance is a bit slow, the glitch will be noticed because the whole form will have to be loaded first before the condition Show/Hide will kick in.

If the elements in the form (fields, image, html) that were trying to be hidden using the condition is too many or too big to render, then, the glitch will be noticed since it will take some seconds to HIDE them after the condition script kick in.

I have tried your website and the form on my end. I could barely observe the glitch and it is also to my disadvantage since I am aware of it.. so, I am really looking for it.

BUT for most users, I believed this will not be noticed.

If you are not satisfied on how you form work, you can try some other option (re-design the form idea). How about not using condition to Show/Hide the questionares... you can use link instead on another form.

If you exclude the questionaires from the form on initial form load, this will totally eliminate the anomally since it will not be included in the form anymore when it loads the first time.

Hope this help. Please inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.
