How to send a autoresponse

    This is what I am atempting to do : perspective client inputs his/hers contact data including their email address, the form is delivered to a default address a thank you response intailly, follow up by a mail from the default addess wihich has default information / template.

    I cant seem to find how to change the default address, or do I have to build a form around a particular address?

    what seem s to happen : the from seems to be sent to the address in the email input field, and not the default mail address. I have tried adding a 2nd mail field the 1st being pre populated with the default address, but this seems to have done somthing as it wont send at all now.


    any advice welcome

    Hello andypenn.  What you need to create is an autoresponder for your form.  Follow this user guide on how to create an autoresponder for your forms.

    Hi and thanks for contacting us.


    As my collegue said you can follow this steps below to create an autoresponder:


    1. Click on "Setup and Embed" tab on the form builder toolbar

    2. Click on "Email Alerts"

    3. Click on "Add New Email"

    4. Select "Autoresponder Email" and click "Next"

    5. Ensure that the field selected in the Recipient E-mail section of the envelope is the one in which users would enter their email address. Also, it's advisable to change the Sender E-mail from your email address to "" as this helps to ensure that the auto-response is not identified by the recipient's email provider as spam. (See this screenshot) Click Next

    6. Many aspects of message on the Compose Email section of the wizard can be changed. For example, the subject can be personalized and the time at which the submission was made, included. Tags inserted by clicking elements in the floating "Form Fields" menu will be automatically replaced by the entries made by the user. For instance, the subject in this screenshot states "Nice to hear from you, {fullName3:first} :)" but the actual subject of the auto-response the user sees in his inbox will be "Nice to hear from you, John :)", assuming he entered "John Doe" as his name on the form. The tag for the "Full Name" field in this form is {fullName3} which will output the user's full name (John Doe) but appending ":first" to the tag's contents allows just the first name (John) to be output. The smiley face ":)" was just added for effect!

    7. When finished creating an autoresponder or editing an existing one, click "Finish" and save the form

    thanks for that but have another problem and that is the send amounts
    are increasing in my account section but, the mails are not being
    delivered to me I am think that it is not working and trying to work out
    why, when it would appear that the mail is hitting your severs ok.
    I also need to know if the address in the account section is the default
    mail that the form would be sent to.

    I think that this issue is caused from your condition.

    You've setted conditions like this:


    if email field contain: @ then send email notification.


    but you can place an email field and make it required.

    Ok have been out and left onced submit had been hit , thinking the mail
    may take a bit of time to come but it still has not responded
    any more advice
    the field you mention is either stuck somewhere as I thought it was
    deleted prior me seeking advice
    should one delete section IE: email will this remove all pertaining to it

    Can you try deleting all the set notification and autoresponder email too and re-cretae them once again.  Follow this user guide on how to create an autoresponder for your forms that was given ealier above.

    This should work, i cloned your form and was able to get the notification and autoresponder work fine.Please let us know if you need further assistance.
