Really stuck with file upload not working in app browsers (Aurasma /Edmodo)

Ive asked this before, and there are others who ask questions on this topic.

Is there any workaround to make in app browsers open the File upload browse window? Im using this for PhD research so some kind of solution would be great.

Also, why cant I reply to other threads?

I am not quite sure what you mean by "app browsers". Do you have a File Upload field in your form that is not working? I tried the File Upload field in your form http://www.jotformeu.com/form/63001227649350 and it is currently working. Can you please describe to us the problem you are encountering.

Also, why cant I reply to other threads?

Perhaps the thread you are trying to reply to is private, which means only the owner and the Support Team can send replies on it.

sorry to not reply sooner I have been away.
when I say 'in app browser' I mean just that, an inbuilt browser that is
from a mobile app - eg edmodo, facebook, aurasma etc.
In android it disables the file upload field. Very annoying!!

I have checked your account and found an earlier thread asking the same question.

    Thread link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/974227

As my colleague explained the issue originates from Edmodo's end and since it is the preference of Edmodo to load link, unfortunately, we can not provide a further solution.

Alternatively, you may consider other sharing possibilities of our forms.

     Hi again Jotform folks

After several more tests etc, as well as potential mobile app updates, here's more useful info (as others ask about this issue periodically on the forum).

The Android InAppbrowser can cause issues with file upload fields on forms - any forms, not only Jotform.

It appears that many apps using the InAppbrowser can throw this error. Jenny is partially correct therefore to point out that this is an Edmodo issue and not Jotform.

For further info on the Android Inappbrowser see Cordova documentation, or PhoneGap, for example. Also refer to many questions on Stack Overflow... ;)

The Edmodo app appears to have possibly sorted this out as my most recent tests have permitted the files uploaded to get through to the Jotform database. HURRAH! I will test other apps as I go along.

Thanks everyone for continued patience and superb support from Jotform staff - as a free service it is unbeatable. I highly recommend :)
