why is my form not in separate fields when I convert to pdf or excel?

    When I download my form, the information is not in separate fields. Each thing is smooshed together in 1 field. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Are you referring to the fields in the screenshot below?

    It's because they are Configurable List fields. Each widget in your form is equivalent to a one field which corresponds to one column in your Submissions page. If you want the answers to be separated, you will have to use regular fields (e.g. Short Text Entry) for each of your question.
