Stripe / other payment option with defined reference

    Hi,

Is there a way with Stripe, or any of the other payment providers, to specify a reference field?

Ideally I would send a customer a link, which loads a jotform with a pre-filled reference field, which is then used as the payment reference.

Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thanks.

    Ed

    Hello Ed,

Unfortunately, I don't think payment gateways are capable of that. So instead, you can either send that link via the autoresponder email. This email alert is the one responsible for sending emails to those who filled up and submitted your forms. You can check this guide to know more: https://www.jotform.com/help/30-Explanation-of-Email-Notification-and-Autoresponder-Settings

Or provide that link on your form's Thank you page, where they will be redirected to after making payment (Please refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/51-How-to-Post-Submission-Data-to-Thank-You-Page).

Or have them redirected instead to that page with pre-filled fields right away by setting your thank you page to go to an external link. You can check this guide for more information: https://www.jotform.com/help/38-Redirecting-Users-to-a-Different-Page

If you have questions or concerns, or anything in mind, please let us know.

    Hi Ed,

    My name is Dan, I'm working as a support manager in BlueSnap, I think our payment gateway can definitely provide you with the solution you're looking for;

If I understand what you're asking for - you need an additional field that will appear in the order page and will be pre-populated with the content you choose, for example - a reference ID of a product, or a link to another site.

This can easily be done using our Custom Fields feature, you can read about our custom fields in here:

    https://support.bluesnap.com/docs/custom-fields

Merchants who sell their products with us, can also embed the checkout page in their site (using iFrame)  next to other elements - in case you want your customers to see the checkout fields next to an external form.

If you're think about full control over design and functionality - you may also be interested in our Hosted Payment Fields - which basically allow you to "plant" our checkout fields in your website:

    https://developers.bluesnap.com/v8976-Tools/docs/hosted-payment-fields

I hope this information is useful !

    Dan.
