Mailchimp Integration Full Name issue

Hi lately when matching fields with the form and Mailchimp the option for Mailchimp for name is given as "Full Name"- However, in the list itself we have first and last name. In the form we've used two fields and labelled them first and last name.

This is having one of two effects. The full name is going into first name field in Mailchimp (when we have used the full name element in Jotform) OR we're just getting one name into Mailchimp when we use the two fields option.

Sometimes the data isnt being sent to Mailchimp at all (due to mismatched fields) and we've used Zapier as an intermediary to get the data across.

The question then is why is the integration widget only giving the Full Name option when the Mailchimp list and the Jotform has First and Last Name as separate fields?

    Is there a fix?

I checked your form (https://www.jotform.com/72488642073866) on your site but it seems the form is not currently integrated with MailChimp.

I cloned your form and integrated it with MailChimp, it is giving me an option for separate First Name and Last Name when using the First Name and Last Name as separate Fields.

    Hi Christian,

See attached screenshot. No difference. We did at one time use the form field "full name" in a template, then deleted it and added two fields for first and last (as full name doesnt work with Mailchimp as described above) Do you think it is some sort of caching?

Im out of ideas of how to fix it.

Please ensure that the correct fields are also setup on your MailChimp List. Your List fields should be setup as First Name and Last Name also.

This is the list we are integrating, hence why we are perplexed. As mentioned above, the form has first and last name, and Mailchimp is set up first and last name. Yet on attempted integration we are shown "Full Name". This morning we cleared caches, etc and tried again. No change. I noticed it is the same on all forms even though all have first/last name fields in both JF and MC.

    Any other ideas?

So for a further test I just created a new MC list with First, Last Name and Email, and cloned the JF and cleared cache and used a different browser. I also created a new API key. See screenshots- Same problem. It seems to me the even though we have deleted the Full Name block from this form (and others) it's retained that setting and is ignoring the newly added fields. ( I havent experienced this before, but have no other explanation)

When you are setting up the name in MailChimp, you will notice that it has tags, for first name you find it like "FNAME" and last name like "LNAME", this uses both fields as the default Full Name in MailChimp and this is why you are seeing them like if they were one.

I would instead recommend you to delete such tags and add them like this:

You should be able to map the fields as you want:

You can also find more information about merge tags on MailChimp on the following guides:

    I hope this helps.
