Install form on a Joomla 2.5

Asked by call4angel on August 29, 2012 at 07:09 PM

    Hello,

My form does not seem to work on Joomla (actually, it doesn't even show up).

I used the Joomla instructions but it's for Joomla 1.5 and I am using Joomla 2.5.

I have a "plugin manager" but do not see the parameters.

Is there another way of installing the form in Joomla 2.5?

Thanks & Have a Great Day!

    Angela

    Thanks Eduardo/ Mike!

I tried the options on the pages you suggested - It still doesn't work.

I removed both script and iframe from the prohibited list but couldn't set super user text filtering to "NO" as text filtering does not exist on Article Options Manager in Joomla 2.5.

The form is visible when I use the source code from jot form (nothing else is visible when inserted) but, the form itself does not work.

Any other idea(s) will be highly appreciated.

Thanks Again & Have a Great Day!

Have you tried using the Sourcerer plugin from Nonumber? It enables you to place any kind of HTML Style code including JavaScript with any editor without it being stripped.

    See : http://www.nonumber.nl/extensions/sourcerer

Hi Goldo. Thanks for the post. I have been trying it all day but it still does not work.

The plugin was installed properly (no errors). I am trying to add my form through/in article manager.

I tried using the html module also - none worked.

I may be putting the code in the wrong way but I can't see what I could possibly be doing wrong.

Have you used sourcerer plugin before? How do I insert the code using sourcerer?

Thanks & Have a Great Day!

I am very sorry for the inconveniences caused.

Text Filters have been moved to the Global Configuration. Please check this from your side.

If you would like to use sourcerer option too, please let us know. We can try to help you.
